The Christmas Story

Today we worked as teams to retell the Christmas Story.  Each team took a part of the Christmas Story and had to teach the rest of the class about it.  We needed confidence to share our knowledge with the rest of the class and had fun being the 'teachers'.

Giving and Receiving Gifts

This RE unit focusses heavily on the idea of giving and receiving gifts.  We now know that Jesus was the best gift of all and God gave us his only son.  We have discussed all of the different feelings involved with giving and receiving gifts and now know that a gift does not have to be something physical - a hug or kind gesture is just as wonderful!  That being said, it is always nice to give and receive gifts so we made some salt dough decorations to give out to our  family and friends.
