An amazing solo from our performance by Carr Hill
Wow! What an amazing afternoon! Today we visited Carr Hill to watch a performance of Matilda Jnr. This was a great experience for the children and hopefully it has inspired some children to dream bigger!. It was great to see the Carr Hill students perform on stage and we believe that this will give our children the confidence to follow in their footsteps!
A huge thank you to Carr Hill!
Thank you to our Year 4 pupils who educated us today in Worship in our ‘wear something blue’ day in aid of raising awareness of Type 1 Diabetes and the charity JDRF. Thank you to all the families who supported this fundraiser and there is still time to donate on the parent pay app if you haven’t done so already. We thank everyone for their generosity.

Motivate-with-words (World Book Day Special)
Today we invited all families to join us read in church. Everyone was given a warm welcome with a hot chocolate (served by Mr Allen and the team). Our church was then full of families reading together and enjoying their new books that they purchased from the BOOK FAIR! At the books fair we raised so much money that we can now buy £400 pounds of new books for our library. The event was ran by Mr Draper, Mr Allen, the Head Boys/girls and deputies plus lots of helpers in and around school. BUT this event was only a massive success because of the amazing families that we have at our school! Thank you!

World Prayer Day for Ukraine
Friday we joined together as a Christian family with other Christians around the world to pray for peace and for all the people of Ukraine. Year 2 and 3 created prayer hands where children could write their personal prayers on there.
Amy and Zane led a lesson with Year 6 teaching them all about the Knife Angel sculpture which they had visited at Blackburn Cathedral as part of the Pupil RE Conference. The impact of the lesson was it allowed year 6 to reflect on the sculpture and the message of peace which it represents.
