Finding Volcanoes- This half term the children are learning about volcanoes. Their curiosity has been awakened and they are asking lots of interesting question that we hope we will find answers for. By the end of the unit they should be able to explain what a volcano is and how they are formed, name some volcanoes, locate some countries where volcanoes can be found and much more.
Today we looked at some real lava rock from a volcano on La Palma in the Canary Islands. The children were intrigued to see all the particles inside the rock formation.
