Dance: Our dance this half term has been based on our MFL~ Spanish
Sports Day 2022
Huge congratulations to everyone for taking part in sports day. All the children participated and enjoyed the occasion. I was so proud of the way each and every child in Year 5 behaved. Thank you to all the parents that attended, it really is appreciated.
More sports day practice. The children participated in a variety of activities using the skills they have been learning in P.E.
Athletics-Field and track
Getting ready for Sports Day, the children worked hard on their skills for shot put and javelin today.
Dance, Summer 2
Today (Weds 8.6.22) the children have had their first dance lesson with Miss Leah. She is teaching us some Spanish dances linking to our MFL, keep looking on here for weekly updates.
Session 1
Summer Term 1
Today the children have been learning Field game skills, this involved being able to throw and catch a ball whilst moving. Skills they will need whilst playing cricket or rounders.
Spring Term 2
Developing a forehand and backhand.
The focus of our lessons this week was to develop consistency in playing a forehand and backhand shot with a partner.
The children have been busy in P.E. today practicing their tennis skills. They have been learning how to control a racquet and deliver a serve.
