22.06.23- Holding Chicks
In Science we have been learning about the life cycle of a hen/ chicken. We thought about how the egg first is put in an incubator or the hen sits on it to stay warm, then it hatches and becomes a chick that then grows into a hen. We were all very excited to have the chicks in class today and hold them.
9/3/22- Science Week School Trip
Year 1 had a great school trip to Blackburn Museum where we learnt about Mary Anning. We thought about our topic 'Explorers' and how Mary Anning's job was a fossil hunter, also known as a paleontologist. We learnt about how to dig for fossils carefully and we looked at a range of them. We also dressed up as Victorians like Mary Anning would have dressed.
