Our class have made a heartwarming response to the war in Ukraine and all wanted to try to do something to help after we have been hearing about the war there and the refugees. Our children are learning about resilience in tough times and how we can care for others even if they are far away.
World Book Day was great working in our costumes and PJ’s in class and celebrating books in an assembly in the Community Centre 👏🏼
Year 2 enjoyed delicious pancakes from our school kitchen on Shrove Tuesday. A big thank you to our school cooks! We really enjoyed them and have been learning Shrove Tuesday is the day before we get ready for Lent and giving things up for 40 days.
Active playtimes, team games and ball skills are part of our lunchtime routine 😃
Well done School Council reps for educating our school on the importance of buying fair trade products and helping us understand how this brings justice to our world.

On Friday 11th February we celebrated the Gospel Value LOVE in school by wearing Red. We raised some money for our PTA New Library Fund and learnt all about St Valentine and why we celebrate this day. Molly our therapy dog came to visit us and share some of her love for us too! We reflected how we can Love our Neighbour just like Jesus showed us in the Bible.
Today was NUMBER DAY in our school where we all came to school wearing numbers in aid of the NSPCC and the fabulous work they do to help and support children. During Number day we played number games and quizzes and this is helping us to be more curious about numbers and realise Maths is all around us not just in the classroom!
