In Maths, we have been looking at length and height. We measured the length of our feet using cubes. We used fantastic team work with our talk partners. We spoke about how to correctly measure.

In phonics, we have been doing the sounds ar and or. We have been reading and spelling words with these sounds in. 

This week, we have learnt all about Lunar New Year. We learnt the story of the year of the animals. This year is the year of the rabbit. We made Chinese lanterns. In art, we used our knowledge of paint mixing to use red, yellow and mixed them together to make orange to make rabbit silhouettes. We used a dabbing technique. We also made Chinese numbers, we copied the symbols in paint. 

During continuous provision, we consolidated our learning. We looked for objects that were longer and shorter and we enjoyed lots of stories.
