In maths, we have been looking at doubling and halving. During continuous provision, the children loved showing they could half numbers using equipment around the classroom. 

In Literacy, we have been busy writing letters to Tim Peake. This term we have been learning all about Space and we had lots of questions for Tim. We wondered how you brush your teeth?, How do you sleep?, How do you play?, so we decided to ask Tim Peake. We did a fantastic job using our phonics knowledge to sound out the words. 
We hope he writes back!

We found ice in our outdoor classroom! We loved playing with it, watching it melt in our hands and looking at all the beautiful patterns it has made. 

Rev. Anne came to visit. We drew pictures of when we had been kind that week and enjoyed talking about our pictures with Rev. Anne. We spoke about some people not making the right choices in our world currently and prayed together for peace and love. 

In the creative area, the children have been busy making rockets, aliens and space pictures. There’s been lots of discussing ideas and team work going on.
