In Literacy, we have been reading ‘Lucy and Tom at the seaside.’ We have made a story map of what they did at the seaside and decided to create our own stories. We looked at the beginning, middle and end of stories and then created our own story maps so we can write our very own story! 

In Art, we added more detail to our ocean picture. We looked at different pictures of the bottom of the ocean and decided we needed to add seaweed. We didn’t cut the tissue paper, we decided to very carefully tear it so it created a rough edge. It was a bit tricky at first but we kept trying. We love that we learnt a new skill. We spoke about seaweed being all different lengths and widths and tried to show this in our artwork. 

In P.E, we revisited all the different types of rolls we have been learning over the year. Mr Williams was super impressed we remembered all the names of the different rolls. We did forwards roll, rock and roll, egg roll, pencil roll and teddy bear rolls. We used our imagination and pretended we were at the seaside and we needed to roll in lots of different ways to get across the sand. Why not ask your child to show you their skills!
