Our leavers worship
Today we held our year six leavers worship. The worship was planned by Rev Anne, Mr D (and team) and the children. In the worship the children reminded us of their broad range of Bible stories that they had learnt since starting at our school as well as revisiting some of their favourite hymns. In the service the children were all presented with a Bible to take home with them, we also gave them a candle and tea light to spread the light of the world!
Today we visited church to deepen our understanding of The Lords Prayer. The children visited prayer stations that were spread around the church to understand each line of the prayer. They children loved the session and the vocabulary and discussions that were had were brilliant. Why not ask your child about their favourite station? Mine was the vanishing paper!
Our Year 6 Mission
In Year 6 we live out our school statement 'We are a loving, caring, distinctively Christian family, providing an excellent education in a safe, happy environment, where every individual is valued as a child of God.' Throughout the year we celebrate each of these areas through short worships (class based), through in depth discussions and we aim to challenge our children's thoughts and opinions at every opportunity. We want the children in year six to be provided with opportunities to succeed in life as a Good Christian.
