Introduction to Our Climate Action Plan

At Medlar with Wesham C of E School, we are committed to creating a brighter, greener future for our children and our community. That’s why we have developed a climate action plan—a roadmap that sets out how our school will play its part in tackling climate change and protecting the environment.

Our climate action plan focuses on four main areas:

• Reducing our carbon footprint by using energy more efficiently and cutting down on waste.

• Making our school more resilient to the effects of climate change, such as extreme weather.

• Improving our school environment by encouraging wildlife and looking after our green spaces.

• Teaching our children about sustainability so they can become climate-conscious citizens.

We believe that by working together—staff, pupils, parents, and the wider community—we can make a real difference. We look forward to sharing our progress and involving you in our journey towards a more sustainable school.
