Year 2 having been becoming skilled at using adjectives in their writing as they have created descriptions of the farm in the book - Mudpuddle Farm and written adverts for a new farm cat!
Writing Instructions
In English we have been writing instructions and to help build our confidence in using the correct vocabulary we did some lessons about imperative verbs and identified them in class.

Learning Different Sentence Types
We have been learning all about different types of sentences this week in our Grammar sessions and how these can be identified. We have used these skills in our own writing too as we become more confident with writing.
Writing Character Descriptions and Diary Entries based on the book ‘Clickin Chicken’
This week in English our focus has been on practising our writing skills and including full stops, capital letters, finger spaces, conjunctions and adjectives. We have enjoyed thinking about how the characters from a story feel and creating wonderful diary entries from their point of view using evidence from the text.

We have read and followed instructions today to make Christingles. We will be writing our own instructions later this week.
