In phonics, we have been busy revising the sounds we have already learnt and writing words. We carefully sound out the word and count how many sounds are in the word then write it. We also learnt the sound ‘ou’ we used our whiteboards to make words with our new sound in then wrote some. 

This week, we have been busy making some special cards for Valentines Day. It is taking several steps to create our masterpiece first we used a dabbing technique, using our fingers as paintbrushes!

To finish off our topic Ticket to ride, we made our own Travel Agents. It has been a very busy shop with requests to go all over the world. We have been busy booking everyone’s travel and hotel accommodation and sending out tickets. 

In maths, we have been looking at 2D shapes. We have been searching for shapes in our classroom. We have made houses using shapes in continuous provision.
