We have been thinking of the positional vocabulary on top of, in front of, above and below. We used our teddies to show what these words meant.
Giving Directions: Left, Right, Forward and Back
Today we had fun directing our ‘robot friends’ around our class rug using the vocabulary Left, Right, Forwards and Back. We now know how to give and follow 2 step instructions and are beginning to learn our left and right.
Whole Turn or Half Turn
Today we had a practical lesson turning whole and half turns. We found it very tricky and needed lots of resilience! We now know that when you turn a whole turn, you end up back at the start. When you turn half a turn, you end up facing in the opposite direction!
